Elon Musk, a billionaire who flirts with fascism and the extreme right, managed to make right-wing politicians look pretty stupid during an interview with Donald Trump, reports US Today.

Former US President Donald Trump boasted of a planned interview with Musk on Platform X, which was scheduled for Tuesday at 14pm ET (20pm US).

"It's going to be the interview of the century," Trump wrote in capital letters on his account on the X platform.

"Sounds like a cartoon character"

Trump's campaign has been in deep trouble since last month US Vice President Kamala Harris was chosen as the Democratic candidate in the upcoming presidential election. His attacks on her are not working, and his racist comments about her background and race have been ignored by all but his staunchest and most extreme supporters.

That's why Trump decided to talk to Musk. Even if all went well, the move wouldn't have benefited the campaign much because it was aimed at an online audience that doesn't actually represent the wider electorate. But the interview was a complete disaster, writes US Today.

When the interview finally began, it had 1,3 million followers and the former president sounded like he was whispering at times, prompting some listeners to comment that he sounded like a cartoon character, while others suggested it could be audio compression.

Trump praised Putin, Xi Jinping and Kim Jong Un

Trump talked about immigration, President Joe Biden and anything else that came to mind at the time. He also hesitated, paused or mispronounced words, which in turn raised concerns about his health and age. Musk, on the other hand, conducted the interview in a layman's way and without a point. He cheered for Trump, praised his bravery during the assassination attempt and agreed with everything the former president said, US Today notes.

Trump reiterated that Russia would not have attacked Ukraine if he had remained president, praised Russian President Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, saying they were the pinnacle of world politics.

Trump also praised Musk for the way he fires workers at his companies.

“You are the ultimate job cutter. I mean, look what you've done. You walk in, you say, "Do you want to quit?"

Trump speaks nebulos?

Trump's big problem is that he has become unbearably boring, writes US Today.

He persistently mentions the construction of the wall, attacks some Marxists, childishly criticizes his political rival for the presidential race with Kamala Harris. And this interview with an extremely rich weirdo (Musk) who is liked by only a few people, was a real disaster.

Musk has already made De Santis look like a fool with his social media ineptitude and undeserved sense of self-importance. And now he did the same to Trump, US Today states.
