The increase in the price of oil and oil derivatives affects the operation of all public enterprises operating on the territory of the City of Skopje.

According to the city authorities, currently the biggest losses are suffered by JSP "Skopje", which is most affected by the corona crisis because there were periods when, according to the measures and recommendations of the health authorities, vehicles traveled with a reduced number of passengers due to restrictions. In addition, the fear of the spread of coronavirus infection, made those passengers who regularly used the services of bus transport before the advent of covid-19, to start using alternative modes of transport, thus trying to avoid the crowds in buses. With the upward growth of the price of oil and oil derivatives, such losses in this public enterprise are further deepened.

- The increase in the price of oil derivatives certainly affects the work of all public companies, and above all JSP "Skopje". The professional services of all public companies monitor the situation and make analyzes for the effects of this phenomenon, and at the moment there is no announcement for a request for raising the price of any of the services. If in the future there is such a request, it will be discussed and decided by the Council of the City of Skopje - informed by the Public Relations Department of the City of Skopje.
