Today, the Administrative Court will hold a public hearing on the case following the lawsuit filed by the Academy of Judges and Public Prosecutors "Pavel Shatev" after the Anti-Corruption Commission decided on Friday to suspend the procedure for the admission of 130 trainees to the Academy until the end of the elections.

Yesterday, the Academy submitted a lawsuit to the Administrative Court, after last week the SCSC discussed for the second time the suspension of the admission procedure for the 130 trainees until the end of the presidential and parliamentary elections.

SCSC ruled in favor of Davkova, ASJO should put the procedure for admission of trainees on hold

At the session, the members of the CCSK with four votes "for" and one "against" made a decision proposing to the Academy of Judges and Public Prosecutors to put the procedure for the admission of 130 trainees on hold until the end of the elections, after which the Academy used the legal deadline of 24 hours to submit a lawsuit to the Administrative Court, which, after receiving it, has a deadline of 48 hours to decide on the appeal.

The member of the SCCC, Sofia Spasova Medarska, voted against such a decision, who explained that the processes that take place within the framework of the judiciary should not depend on the political processes, because, as she said, the judicial power is independent and clearly separated from the legislative and executive powers. . He pointed out that the need for new personnel within the judiciary can only be assessed and determined by the Judicial Council and the Council of Public Prosecutors, whose competence is to monitor the situation with vacant positions and to determine the necessary number of trainees that the Academy will educate in every generation.
