The Tetovo police informs that after a vehicle crashed into the Vardar River near Želino, a search for people in the watercourse began. Around 11:30 a.m., it was reported to SVR Tetovo that a passenger vehicle left the roadway of the bridge in Želino, Tetovo, and fell into the waters of the Vardar River.

 - It has been established that a "Volkswagen Golf 4" vehicle, with Kumanovo registration marks, has fallen into the Vardar River. So far, no persons have been found in the vehicle that was found and will be pulled out of the river. The public prosecutor, an investigation team from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tetovo and other police officers are on the spot, searching the waters of the river, and diving teams from the Ministry of the Interior will also be called in order to find the driver of the vehicle and possibly other passengers. The case is being cleared up and documented, informs Marjan Josifoski, spokesperson of SVR Tetovo.

The crisis management center for the same case informed that cwith the help and support of construction machinery, the vessel was pulled out of the deep waters of the river bed.

-Due to the speed, depth and turbidity of the water, the vehicle in one part of the river bed was carried by the current, but in a short time it fell into a natural gap and was not visually visible. At the moment, it is not possible to determine if there were people in the vehicle and what their condition is. The operational center of CMC immediately established communication and coordination with the Ministry of the Interior - SVR Tetovo, TPPE Tetovo, Ambulance Tetovo and SSO. The Ministry of Internal Affairs immediately sent diving teams from the special unit and they are already on their way to the village of Želino, while the Directorate for Protection and Rescue is sending its own flood rescue teams based in Veles, according to the CMC.
