At least seven Palestinians were killed and nine were wounded in today's attack by Israeli forces in Jenin in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said.

The Israeli army confirmed that it struck a stronghold of the extremists during the raid in the city.

Among the victims was Dr. Kasajed Kamal Jabarin, a surgeon at the government hospital in Jenin.

"He was killed on the way to the hospital," said director Dr. Wissam Abu Baker.

The raid is still ongoing, and the number of victims may be higher.
