Israeli army: Islamic Jihad military commanders neutralized in Gaza
The main military commanders of the Islamic Jihad in Gaza have been neutralized in the last two days in the airstrikes of the Israeli army against the armed Palestinian group, the Israeli army said last night.
"The leadership of the military wing of the Islamic Jihad in Gaza has been neutralized," Oded Basiok, head of the Jewish state's military operations department, said in a statement sent to AFP, Hina reports.
In the Israeli operation in Gaza, according to the authorities of the Palestinian enclave, more than 20 people died, including six children.
This new conflict between the Israeli army and armed groups in Gaza, which began on Friday, is the worst since May 2021. Israeli authorities claim that several Palestinian children were killed last night in Jabalia, in the north, by a stray rocket fired by Islamic Jihad, not the army.
