The exhibition "Transience" by Toni Popov will be opened in KIC

In the Cultural and Information Center - Skopje, in Salon "Imperial 2", on March 28, at 19.30:XNUMX p.m., the exhibition of paintings "Transience" by Toni Popov will be opened.

The exhibition "Transience" is a series of about 40 figurative paintings made in the period of 2021 and 2022. The paintings are made in acrylic or oil technique in different formats.

The main idea in the series "Transience" is certain situations or persons observed in a certain moment of surprise or decision. The pictures in this case are an attempt to capture the elusive, to frame the moment that has already passed.

– I am fascinated by humanity: our capacity to conquer the universe, our capacity for great things, acts of kindness, mercy and compassion. At the same time, I am also fascinated by our fragility, vulnerability, transience. The paintings from the series "Transience" stand between this dichotomy: our fragility and eternity, because because of fragility we need each other, and because of eternity that need makes sense - the author points out.
