In an interview with the BBC, Honcharenko stressed that the issue was not about annoyance: "We are not in kindergarten – this is too serious."
"People are being killed every day, we are dying every day," he added.
The MP emphasized that, no matter who says what, Ukraine's main goal must remain ending the war while preserving its sovereignty.
"We don't just need to sit at the negotiating table. Our goal should be an agreement that guarantees our sovereignty - which means our own army, military industry and the right to decide on our future, including integration into the EU and NATO," said Honcharenko.
At the same time, he emphasized that Ukraine must not lose the support of the United States as an ally and that it needs to unite Europe around itself.
"President Trump rightly said that there is an ocean between the United States and Russia, but between Europe and Russia there is Ukraine," the MP added.
Honcharenko's statement comes after a meeting between American and Russian representatives in Saudi Arabia, where Donald Trump said he believes he has the power to end the war in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said it was a "surprise" that Ukraine was not invited to these talks. Trump responded by saying that Ukraine had three years to end the war and also accused Ukraine of starting the war. "I believe I have the power to end this conflict," Trump said of the war that began with Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Zelensky postponed his visit to Saudi Arabia until March 10, and Kiev reiterated that it would not accept any agreements for Ukraine without its participation.
In Riyadh, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned that Moscow would not accept the presence of NATO forces in Ukraine as part of any peace deal.
On the other hand, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the talks were "the first step in a long and difficult process" to end the war.
