The basic public prosecutor's office for prosecuting organized crime and corruption opened a case after a tip-off about the construction of the highways on Corridors 8 and 10d, in order to check the allegations that are being made public.

The case has been assigned to the competent public prosecutor, who is taking action and will carry out checks, after which the public prosecutor will make a decision on the further course of the procedure, according to OJOGOK.

According to the Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski all information that is of a public nature and all data on the selection of the designer, contractor and supervision are publicly available in the Bureau of Public Procurement.

Any procedures can be initiated, and I am calling for the third time both the Public Prosecutor's Office and the Anti-Corruption Commission to carry out a procedure for which they have legal competence in relation to all the information that is available. And all the decisions of the Government will be submitted with the materials to the Anti-Corruption Commission, Kovacevski said at the parliamentary questions session in the Parliament.

He responded to VMRO-DPMNE deputy Mile Lefkov at the parliamentary session on parliamentary issues, who asked whether an investigation should be opened for the company for supervising the construction of corridors 8 and 10d worth 22 million euros and why a company with no experience in supervision was chosen. which, as he said, received a surveillance license overnight, as well as a grant of state money from FITR.

As Kovacevski said, the value of supervision is the lowest in the total participation of road construction so far.

For Corridor 8 and Corridor 10d, the percentage of value for road supervision and construction is 1,69. So, of the EUR 300 billion value of the Design and Construction Contract for Corridor 8 and Corridor 10e, supervision is EUR 22,3 million or 1,69 percent, the lowest share of supervision in a total project of any highway ever in the country, the prime minister pointed out.

The deputy prime minister was also responsible for the supervision of the corridors Artan Grubi, who is also the chairman of the Government's Steering Committee for the negotiations for the construction of the two corridors.

The entire procedure has been observed and has been passed through all administrative procedures in the country, Grubi said.

According to announcements, the start of the project for the construction of four highway sections on corridors 8 and 10 in a total value of 1,3 billion euros is scheduled for the beginning of next month.

Last week, the government approved the first tranche in the amount of 87 million euros out of a total of 0 million euros planned for this year.
