Today in the quarterfinals of the junior "Wimbledon" Macedonian tennis player Kalin Ivanovski lost with 2:1 in sets 6:3, 6:7 (5) and 4:6 from Pedro Rodenas from Spain in two hours of play. The quarter-final for Ivanovski is so far his best placement in the junior Grand Slam tournaments.

In the first set, Ivanovski started like a "fast train" leading with 4:0, the opponent only threatened with a break. 4:1, then on his own serve he reduced by 4:2, but our tennis player routinely worked until the end and won the set by 1:0.

The second set brought great excitement in which the Macedonian was able to finish the match in his favor. Rodenas opened furiously gaining a high lead from 5:1 and when everyone thought that an equalizer was coming, Ivanovski managed to come back with all his strength.

Tie four games in a row for 5:5, the set was decided in a tie-break in which Ivanovski led with 3:0 and with 5:2 and was close to the semi-finals, but missed such a beautiful positive, the rival made a turnaround for 7:5 and for 1:1 in sets.

Our tennis player started with a 1:0 advantage in the third set, so a series of three games followed for the Spaniard. Ivanovski returned for a new equal on 3:3. Instead of returning the positive on his own serve, a break happened to Rodenas, who held it until the end and celebrated with 1:2 in sets.

For placement in the grand final, the Spaniard will play against the Croatian Milli Poljicak, who eliminated the Swiss Kilian Feldbosch 2:1 (1:6, 6:3 and 6:2).
