Italy will welcome around 68 million tourists this summer
According to the forecasts of the research institute "Demoskopika", quoted by the Italian news agency ANSA, this summer, around 68 million tourists will rest in Italy, which means that a total of 267 million nights will be spent in the country.
That would represent 4,3 percent more tourists than last year's 65,2 million, as well as 3,2 percent more tourist nights than last year's 258 million.
According to the institute, tourists will spend around 46 billion euros in Italy this summer, which is an increase of 5,4 percent compared to the same period of 2022, BTA reported.
The forecasts of "Demoskopika" show that more than half of the tourists or about 35,3 million (51,7 percent) will be guests from abroad, who will spend a total of 131,5 million nights in Italy.
