The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Italy and Switzerland, Antonio Tajani and Ignazio Cassis, signed a joint declaration today calling for the participation of all parties in the second Global Peace Summit.

In the declaration, the heads of the Italian and Swiss foreign ministries expressed "deep concern about the Russian aggression against Ukraine", which continues and causes enormous destruction and immeasurable suffering.

They recalled the results of the first peace summit, where calls were made to guarantee nuclear and food security, as well as the immediate release of all prisoners of war and the return of deported Ukrainian minors and civilians.

Convinced that peace requires the involvement of all parties and dialogue with them, the ministers agreed to maintain close contacts in order to cooperate in creating the best conditions for holding the second peace summit with the participation of all parties, including Russia and all interested global actors. , it is stated in the declaration, "Blitz" reports.

Tajani and Kassis also called for the creation of a "common platform for negotiations based on respect for international law and the principles of territorial integrity and independence of states contained in the UN Charter."
