Booing the Macedonian language at the demonstration paid for with state money is an isolated provocation, the government says
The celebration of the 21st anniversary of the signing of the Framework Agreement was overshadowed by the behavior of some of those present at the party. Reactions in the public were caused by the booing of the presenter, when she addressed the audience in Macedonian.
From the Government for the portal "Locally"they say that it is an "isolated provocation, such as there have been and will be".
- The most important thing is that, unlike before, such attempts do not have the support of any representative of the government, says the Government.
"Ilindenska" explains that the signing of the Ohrid Framework Agreement has brought benefits for the development of a democratic society and represents a common success and value that North Macedonia should be proud of and promote as a model.
"He has been the basis of inter-ethnic stability and mutual respect for two whole decades. Additionally, as a result of the policy of this Government, we have relaxed inter-ethnic relations like never before." Every citizen, regardless of ethnic, religious or any other affiliation, feels that North Macedonia is their own state that cares about the rights of everyone. That is why any attempt to undermine what has been achieved has no support and the Government considers it an isolated provocation. what was and will be. The most important thing is that, unlike before, such attempts do not have the support of any representative of the government", says the Government.
Previously VMRO-DPMNE asked Kovachevski, Grubi and other government officials to distance themselves, condemn and apologize to the Macedonian citizens for the scandal with the denigration of the Macedonian language.
The party leader Hristijan Mickoski, said about the case that it was a big scandal and asked if the Minister of Culture was referring to this kind of "enjoyment" when she justified the spending of public money for party celebrations.
"It is an event paid for with government, that is, state money. At that event, the Macedonian language was booed, the same one that the Government is selling cheaply in the negotiations with Bulgaria. Is this the kind of cheering the Minister of Culture was thinking of when she justified the spending of public money for such party celebrations. It is a great shame that there is no reaction from the Government. Nationalism does not force politics. This only shows the division of society and the existence of two parallel worlds. Such barriers are built by the political elites of the government to make it easier for them to realize their personal interests related to business motives, while Macedonian and Albanian citizens are drowning in the artificial hatred fueled by the politicians that suit them," says Mickoski.
