Less than a quarter of Germans may head to ski resorts and other popular winter holiday destinations in the coming months as they look to save money amid sharply rising living costs, a JuGov survey has found.
Almost half of German citizens who normally go on holiday in winter will skip the trip or find a cheaper option this year due to rising prices.
About 23 percent of respondents said they would "cancel" their vacation plans, and 26 percent of them would forego travel.
Only a quarter will not change their plans, according to a survey commissioned by sports equipment manufacturer Schoffel from Bavaria, HINA reported.
