The basic public prosecutor's office in Gostivar conducted an investigative procedure against a 30-year-old resident of Gostivar, suspected of unauthorized manufacture, possession and trading of weapons or explosive substances.

- On November 6, the suspect was driving a "Mercedes - A class" car on the A2 main road, in the direction of Mavrovo-Gostivar. At the asphalt base - "Jefuta" quarry, police officers signaled him to stop in order to control and inspect the vehicle. But he did not respect the given order and headed towards Gostivar at great speed. The policemen started a chase and followed him with official vehicles and near Zdunjski Most they noticed that he threw an automatic rifle through the window of the car. The suspect was later stopped and detained, and the automatic rifle with a built-in bayonet, the possession of which is completely prohibited for citizens, was also found, as well as a frame with two bullets of 7,62 millimeter caliber - announced by the Gostivar Public Prosecutor's Office.

Since there is a danger that the suspect will flee or influence the witnesses, the public prosecutor submitted a proposal for detention to the judge of the preliminary procedure from the Basic Court in Gostivar.
