The deadline has passed, Srpska Lista did not register for the extraordinary elections in four municipalities in northern Kosovo
The spokesperson of the Central Election Commission in Kosovo Valmir Elezi confirmed that the deadline for registering candidates for the extraordinary local elections in four municipalities in the north of Kosovo, for which no representatives of the Serbian List have registered, has expired, Euronews reported.
The deadline for registration of political parties, individuals and groups of citizens for the election of four mayors in the north of Kosovo, as well as councilors of the assemblies of the municipalities of Leposavic and Zvecan, for the extraordinary local elections in Kosovo expired at 16:XNUMX p.m.
So far, according to the data of the Kosovo Central Election Commission, apart from the largest parties with a majority of Albanians, only the Party of Kosovo Serbs from Leposavic has registered.
Among the Serbian candidates for mayor of Leposavic, Aleksandar Jablanović from the Party of Kosovo Serbs applied, while independent candidate Sladjana Pantović ran for mayor of Zvečani.
Srpska Lista announced yesterday that it will not participate in the elections because its demands for the establishment of a Community of Serbian Municipalities and the withdrawal of members of the Kosovo Special Police from the north of Kosovo have not been met.
The elections that were originally scheduled for December last year, for which the Serbian List also did not apply, were postponed due to the pressure of the international community on the grounds that it was done because of the security situation.
