The Islamic State has killed over 70 soldiers in Burkina Faso

Islamic State has claimed responsibility for killing more than 70 soldiers in Burkina Faso.

They ambushed and attacked a military convoy, and dozens of soldiers were wounded and five were taken hostage.
A convoy trying to enter an area controlled by the extremists was attacked.

Al Qaeda and the Islamic State have been waging attacks in Burkina Faso for seven years, killing thousands and displacing an estimated two million.
