The pedestal of the monument of the prominent Macedonian novelist and poet Slavko Janevski, placed in Woman - the park, is destroyed. The plate with his name was broken and the two side plates of the pedestal were detached and dropped. Vandals destroyed it, so now they are waiting to find someone competent to fix it.

The monument, whose author is academician Tome Serafimovski, and is a donation of the Trifun Kostovski Foundation at the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts, was erected in 2010, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of his birth and the 10th anniversary of Janevski's death.

The writer is shown on the monument walking barefoot on thorns, because, as the author Serafimovski explained during his installation, Janevski's path was like that - thorny.
