Today, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard launched an artillery attack on the bases of the "Kurdish extremists" in the northern part of Iraq, the Iranian state television reported.

According to the television, the target of the attack was the "headquarters of anti-Iranian terrorists", based in northern Iraq.

Tehran accuses armed Kurds and dissidents of involvement in the current unrest in Iran, especially in the northwest, where most of Iran's approximately 10 million Kurds live.
