Iran warned that the situation in the Middle East could explode uncontrollably
Iran warned today of the "possibility" of the situation "uncontrollably exploding" in the Middle East if the United States continues to support Israel in its war against Hamas in Gaza.
As long as America supports the crimes of the Zionist regime and the continuation of the war, there is a possibility that the situation will explode uncontrollably in the region, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said in a telephone conversation with United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres, the Iranian ministry said.
The United States last night vetoed the proposal for a resolution of the Security Council, which was supported by the vast majority of members of that body, and which calls for an immediate, humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Out of 15 members, 13 voted for the resolution, Great Britain abstained, and only the United States was against.
