Iran unveiled its long-range Mohajer-10 drone at a military exhibition near Moscow
Iran unveiled its long-range Mohajer-10 drone at a military equipment exhibition in Russia.
The US has accused Tehran of supplying Moscow with drones, including the earlier Mohajer-6 model, which Washington says Russian forces used in the invasion of Ukraine. Iran denies these accusations.
Iran's state news agency IRNA said the more advanced system was unveiled at the Army 2024 International Military Technical Forum. The three-day event opened today at the "Patriot" convention and exhibition center near the Russian capital.
The Mohajer-10 was unveiled as the Middle East prepares for a retaliatory strike Iran has threatened Israel over the July 31 assassination of Hamas political wing leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.
Iran released details of the new drone last August. Then it was pointed out that Mohajer-10 has an operational range of 2.000 kilometers, a flight duration of up to 24 hours and a payload of up to 300 kilograms.
Iranian media released a video of the Mohajer-10 and other weapons, accompanied by the text "prepare your hiding places" written in Hebrew and Persian.
