Iraq considers Russia an important member of the world oil market and opposes political interference in OPEC decisions, a spokesman for the Iraqi Ministry of Oil told RIA Novosti. Asem Jihad, reports BGNES.
Earlier, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing OPEC delegates, that a number of members were exploring the possibility of suspending Russia's participation in the OPEC + agreement in solidarity with Western sanctions.
"Russia is a very important member (of the world oil market), we do not want political interference in OPEC decisions," Jihad told the Wall Street Journal.
