Pop diva Kaliopi on October 19, he will hold a big concert in Skopje, in the "Boris Trajkovski" arena. She recently promoted her new album, and when it comes to music, she is definitely one of the favorites of the Macedonian audience.

About music, marriage and love, what Kaliopi is like in private, what makes her happy, how she reacts to bad comments and many other conversations, we talk with Kaliopi in an interview for "Sloboden Pechat".

For Ilinden, you had a fantastic concert in Ohrid that is still being talked about... What impressions do you have from that evening, especially since the concert was right on Ilinden?

- We are still under the impression of the concert in Ohrid, the days pass, but the emotions do not subside... Magnificent, emotional, fun, cheerful, warm, sincere, unique in sharing. Well, we had such a night in the Ancient Theater in Ohrid! With the fact that the concert was held on Ilinden day, the night took on a festive note, celebrating life and our beautiful Macedonia.

You recorded a new album, are you satisfied with how it goes over with the audience?

- Very satisfied and very happy. Romeo outdid himself this time too. We always decide everything together when it comes to songs. It is always important what the heart says.
The audience recognized the songs at the first listen and loved them. The album is woven from great songs, with great messages, I believe that each of them will find its way to someone's heart...

When you go back in time all these years, how many good and bad moments do you have tied to what popularity brings? How bad comments ever hurt you?

– I have never treated popularity as more important than art. Probably for those reasons, I have spared myself the inconveniences that an exaggerated popularity can bring with it. People, the media treated me more as an artist, they dealt with the essence of my being. In other words, I have never changed to please others, I have not flirted with genres to gain more popularity, but I have always been true to what I believe in.
I have never been affected by someone's stray negative comments, because the understanding in me is great, and the faith is even greater.

Then, what is the secret that you manage to remain the favorite pop diva of the Macedonian audience all these years?

– My sincerity, humanity and my songs that mean life.

Let's get a little private. What is Kaliopi like behind the scenes and apart from the music, is there anything that is characteristic of you that we don't know?

- I am not at all different from the one you experience in public. What the public doesn't see is when I go to bed and wake up, with whom I drink the first morning coffee, when I solve problems, when I am happy about the little things, my loved ones, how well I cook... But all this, even I cannot I know it for those who love me and listen to my songs. We are on the same page!

Like any woman, how much time do you spend in the kitchen and do you have a special recipe that you prepare with measure?

- Due to frequent trips and absences from home, I don't often have the opportunity to be in the kitchen. But I use every opportunity to cook, because I enjoy cooking as much as singing. The range of dishes for measurements is wide!

How do you maintain your figure, do you struggle with your weight and manage to stay in top shape?

- I am a big gourmand and I like to eat a lot. To stay in good shape, I walk, play tennis and am disciplined about food.

In an interview, Vasil Zafirchev told me: We still share life and everyday life with Kaliopi. It is no secret that Romeo Grill is a part of your life. How did you manage to maintain the relationship with both ex-husbands?

- Everything is a matter of intelligence, respect and love. We are just people who managed not to let the bad feelings overpower the good feelings. We just continued to love each other as people. And I am very lucky to have them in my life.

However, what about love now? Are you in love and do you still believe in marriage?

- Do I look like someone who can do without love? Well, I am surrounded by so much love and everything I breathe and live is love! I believe in marriage, but I prefer to be in love.

It's vacation time. Where will you spend your vacation and what is an ideal vacation for you?

– This year is one of my most active years, so I don't have time for rest at the moment. I relax with my music and concerts… they are currently my main vacation destination, at least for now. If I manage to escape somewhere for a short time between two concerts, you will certainly find out from my photo reports on social networks.
