Inspector Ilievski requests protection from the institutions, after a disciplinary procedure was initiated against him

Education Inspector Gjorgji Ilievski is due to appear before a disciplinary commission at the State Education Inspectorate (SMI) on July 19 in connection with a scandal that revealed that public officials were illegally promoted to teaching and scientific titles at the State University of Tetovo, Arber A , Safet Emruli), writes "Fakulteti.mk".

The procedure was initiated by Afrim Saliu, Head of the Higher Education Sector, and the disciplinary procedure for determining disciplinary responsibility was sent with the signature of the Director of the SMI, Tome Spirovski.

Ilievski explains that he has already visited the Ombudsman, where he asked their representative to be present during the review of his case on July 19.

- I submitted complete documentation to the Ombudsman, from where I asked their representative to be present during the commission. I will ask the same from the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights. Yesterday I submitted a request to the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption to be protected. The public should know how the case is handled, because they are public officials. The order referred to by the director of the SMI, Tome Spirovski, was issued last year after we were attacked at a university in Struga and when we informed the media. When I received the information about the officials and in the presence of several inspectors, I declared myself. I will ask them to testify before the commission. If I had not presented the information I came across during the inspection in Tetovo, I would have been an accomplice in a crime. The Law on Whistleblowers also protects me - explains Ilievski.
