After Great Britain got a new Prime Minister, Liz Truss, and many consider the Italian Giorgia Meloni as the favorite in the upcoming elections, it is interesting to see how many women are actually involved in European politics. The President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the already mentioned British Prime Minister Trass, the German Foreign Minister Analena Baerbock, the Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin, the President of the European Parliament Roberta Mezzola, and several others are among the most famous women who have been appointed to high positions in the most powerful European countries and institutions.

According to data of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), the European average for the share of women in each country's national parliaments reached 31,3 percent in August this year.
