An incident at a weapons factory in Albania, three people with Russian and Ukrainian passports were arrested
An incident occurred in front of a weapons factory in the Albanian city of Gramsh last night, when three people, two with Russian and one with Ukrainian passports, tried to secretly enter the factory, the Ministry of Defense confirmed.
- The soldiers securing the building responded immediately, but during the efforts to stop the three foreign citizens, two of our soldiers were injured. They are under the care of doctors at the traumatology clinic in Tirana, the statement said.
The police said that two men, a Russian and a Ukrainian, and a Russian woman were detained at the police station in Elbasan.
The intelligence agency is also involved in the investigation to shed light on the circumstances of the incident.
According to the media, when the soldiers approached them, there was a physical confrontation between the soldiers and the three people, who used batons and spray during the fight.
The attack injured two Albanian soldiers, who are out of danger, but there is a risk that one of them will remain visually impaired.
- In the bags of the detained persons - Russian agents, equipment used by espionage agents to photograph objects was found. Photos of the building in Gramsh were found in the microchips of the devices, the media reported.
