Terrifying Simulation of Cruel Punishment Imureman: "Whoever designed this is an absolute monster"

The simulation of one of the most brutal punishments in history upset many viewers. The beginnings of this punishment date back to the Roman Empire, when it was used as a punishment for a certain group of women. Known as imureman, it was sometimes used as a kind of prison for priestesses who broke their vows, reports LadBible.

The Vestal Virginias were a class of priestesses who followed a strict vow of celibacy, devoting themselves entirely to Vesta, the goddess of home and family.

However, if the priestess broke the vow, she would be punished with imureman, which involves imprisoning the person between small walls, effectively burying her alive. This sometimes meant a wooden crate, a locked coffin, or even bricked-up walls.

YouTuber Zach D. Films, who shared a horrifying simulation of this torture, explained: "The process begins with the person being locked in the wall, with no way out."

"Unlike burying people alive, the victim will not die from lack of air." In some cases, the person was given enough food and water to survive for years."

The simulation is an animation of a woman trapped in a brick "box" who is given a small amount of food to keep her alive while she suffers.

"Continuing the agony and isolation, victims were sometimes forced to stand upright, unable to sit or rest," Zak added.

"Their legs were swelling from lack of movement. Many died slowly, completely isolated, left to suffer until the end."

According to the book "Vestal Virgins: Chaste keepers of the flame", this order has existed for about 1000 years, although this has not been confirmed.

Those who watched Zach's video were shocked, with one commenting: "Whoever designed this is an absolute monster."

These are some of the comments:

“This is so scary. The animation of the crying boy showed how terrible this punishment is."

"The animation was so good that when he started crying, I felt bad too."

"This is heartbreaking. I can't even fathom how horribly people have treated other people in the past, it makes me so sad."

"This punishment is brutal!" I would even try to protect my enemies from her!”

Although various cultures have practiced this punishment throughout history, imureman is no longer a practice, LadBible reports.
