Zeljko Samardzic he has been on the public scene for several decades, and his family has been his greatest support throughout his brilliant career. The singer has three daughters, four grandchildren with whom he has shared joy and sorrow for more than four decades.

However, the beginning of building that family and life together began with a great tragedy and loss. The couple experienced the early death of their son, who was only three and a half months old. In the touching confession, the singer talked about the baby's funeral and how Maya and he have overcome everything so far.

"The family is from Nikšić, we buried little Zlatko there, it was a sadness for all of us. "Whenever that month comes, Maya and I, we share that sadness alone and we always think about what it would have been like if he had stayed alive, but that's life," he began.

"A person never knows what can happen to him in life. You're walking down the street and a car hits you, and you weren't expecting it. He was a baby, he was only three and a half months old, I named him Zlatko, after my godfather whom I loved very much. I remember that period, my late grandmother came to see her great-grandson for the first time, for her it was a big shock when everything happened. In Montenegro, a man's head is a big deal. I will never forget that. As a family, we all went from Mostar to Niksic to do all the customs," concluded Željko.
