Ilhan Kucuk organizes "Sofia Forum for the Western Balkans"

The MEP of the Bulgarian party "Reconstruction of Europe", Ilhan Kucuk, is organizing the "Western Balkans Forum" in Sofia today, in partnership with the Foundation for Liberal Integration and the European Liberal Forum.

According to the MIA correspondent from Sofia, the event will be held in the Sofia Hotel "Balkan", with strict observance of anti-epidemic measures.

The forum will have the working title "Time to restore confidence" and aims to open key topics for the Western Balkans and bring more clarity to the negotiating process for the region's EU accession.

According to the organizer of the event, Ilhan Kucuk, the new Bulgarian government has the opportunity to restart the constructive dialogue, because the integration of the Western Balkans will be a success for the region, for the EU, but also for Bulgaria.

"The enlargement process is a strategic goal that unites the whole region and the EU, and support for reforms in the region must continue, because the EU and its values ​​remain the biggest unifying factor," said Bulgarian MEP Ilhan Kucuk.

The forum will be attended by the EU Commissioner for Good Neighborliness and Enlargement, Oliver Varhei, experts in the field, and is expected to be attended by the Chief Negotiator of the Macedonian Government with Bulgaria, prof. Vlado Buckovski.
