Located on the slopes of Mount Jablanica, at an altitude of 900 meters, spread all the way to the Ohrid-Struga field, Vevcani is a divine beauty in which God, when He gave, gave more, and left us to enjoy every detail of its splendor. Vevcani has such a big story, which does not allow you to leave without feeling it.

Today we will tell the story from Gorna Mala, from the beautiful "Kutmicevica". The boarding house "Kutmicevica" is the place that you must not miss when you visit Vevcani and the surrounding area. From there, many stories come to us, unforgettable beautiful moments to which people constantly return. The boarding house was put into use on January 11, 2006 and since then until today is a synonym for true gastronomic enjoyment and quality.

It is located in a restored house more than 200 years old, which, according to the stories of Vevcani, served food for the masters who in the 1830s worked on the construction of the main church "St. Nikola ". Exactly those moments are considered the beginnings of the catering activity in this family house, which is now a monument of unexplored culture, the well-known and authentic Vevcani architecture and from where the most beautiful view of the surrounding nature is provided, Lake Ohrid, Struga field, all the way to the top of Pelister.

Apart from the specific, traditional ambience, what sets Kutmicevica apart is the rich menu consisting of home-grown fruit and vegetable products, homemade grape brandy, which has been awarded gold at several international festivals, the famous red wine made from home-made wines on prepared sausages and minced meat, pies, as well as products from Vevcani households, which promote local cooperation and at the same time support small, family businesses.

Due to this rich offer of domestic eco-products and local, Vevcani specialties, "Kutmicevica" recently became part of the famous "Slowfood" organization, which bases its principles on local and seasonal products and includes places that reflect exclusively local tastes. and quality, places that serve food known for their value and fidelity to tradition.

We asked the popular food blogger, Poposki Branko, a chef from Vevcani "with a title deed", known as "Cooking With Branko", how he would describe "Pansion Kutmicevica" and why everyone must visit this place when going to Vevcani.
