Tomorrow, the boycott continues in OU "Lazo Angelovski", the parents are not backing down
The boycott of classes from the first to the ninth grade in the elementary school "Lazo Angelovski" in the Skopje settlement Novo Lisiche continues tomorrow - this decision was made at the meeting of the Council of Parents, which took place tonight.
Parents are not letting their children go to school because of a third-grade student with violent behavior, and according to them, the boycott will continue "until the situation is institutionally resolved."
The students from OU "11 Oktomvri", where the problematic student was supposed to be transferred, are also boycotting, and the director claimed that she gave her consent for his enrollment according to a regular procedure, but regretted it, because she received information about the child's history that was not previously known to her.
The parents of the students from "Lazo Angelovski" say that the problem has a genesis, a history, and that they are dissatisfied with the work of the Center for Social Affairs, with the pedagogic service and previous attempts to push the problem under the carpet until it escalated to the point where they could no longer turns a blind eye to him.
Today, the Ministry of Education and Culture reported that an interdisciplinary commission has been formed in connection with the case, which will have to review it and adopt measures that will be in the interest of the student and all involved parties.
