Under the motto "And my identity exists" in the organization of the civil initiative for the protection and promotion of the rights of transgender persons "TransFormA" today a march will be held on the occasion March 31 – International Transgender Day of Visibility.

As informed by "TransFormA", the march will start in front of the Government.

TransFormA, together with transgender people, activists and their supporters, joins the global action for solidarity with transgender people for the fifth time, with the aim of reducing the violence and discrimination that this marginalized group faces on a daily basis.

As in all previous years, this year too we decisively and unequivocally demand that the law on legal recognition of gender be finally put into the parliamentary procedure, which will give the MPs the opportunity to vote as they promised before they were elected and as the European Court of Justice human rights and imposed on this Government as an obligation. For political subjects, this may be an intriguing political game and collecting points, but we assure you that for the transgender community this is the only way to start realizing and enjoying their most basic human rights, states the announcement from the Citizens' Initiative for the Protection and Advancement of the Rights of transgender people "TransFormA".

International Transgender Day of Visibility is an annual event that takes place on March 31, a day celebrating transgender people and dedicated to raising awareness of the discrimination faced by transgender people around the world.

Due to the announced march, the Ministry of the Interior informs that starting at 16:11 p.m., the Road Traffic Safety Department will take measures for a special traffic regime, whereby the traffic will be diverted as necessary along the route along which the march will take place, from the intersection of "Goce Delechev" Blvd. with "VMRO" Blvd., right along "Vasil Glavinov" St., left along "Dimitrie Chupovski" St. and further to "XNUMX Oktomvri" Blvd., in front of the RSM Assembly.
