And Kasami's coalition partner, VMRO-DPMNE, condemned the scandalous announcement with "Tetovo-Albanian seat"

This afternoon VMRO-DPMNE-Tetovo also reacted to the mayor's scandalous announcement Bilal Kasami, who called the city "Albanian center in North Macedonia" on Facebook.

VMRO-DPMNE is in a coalition with Besa in Tetovo – Kasami became mayor precisely thanks to the party's voters, and Besa maintains the majority in the Council with the four councilors from VMRO-DPMNE.

Here is the reaction from the local committee of VMRO-DPMNE in Tetovo:

Mayor Kasami's announcement on his Facebook profile justifiably caused a storm of reactions among Macedonians. With this reaction to his announcement, we as the Municipal Committee of VMRO - DPMNE Tetovo want to point out that the mayor of Tetovo should be aware that the promotion of Tetovo as the center of a community implies discrimination against the Macedonian people and all others who live in Tetovo. We will not allow that
For us, Tetovo is and will always be the heart of Macedonia and will never be the center of just one community.

Mayor Kasami has a mandate to follow the trends of European cities, and we are all here to work together and contribute to Tetovo growing into a city where young people will want to live and not a city they leave. The culture and spirit of life in Tetovo imply mutual cooperation, respect and building better living conditions for all who live in Tetovo. In the end, we want to emphasize that the mayor's role is to create equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of nationality and religion. We hope that Mayor Kasami has already seen the weight of the words in his announcement and that he is aware of the negative reactions among his fellow Macedonians", says the reaction from VMRO-DPMNE.

Previously, the municipal organization of SDSM in Tetovo also reacted to Kasami's announcement, from where they told the mayor that "there is no orientation in space". Kasami, however, in his reaction, said that it was not a "capital" as it was reported, but an "Albanian center" and accused that the announcement was misused by giving it a different direction.

For Bilal Kasami, Tetovo is "Albanian headquarters in North Macedonia"
