Angel Georgiev, a member of the Bulgarian parliament from the radical party Prerodba, tried to provoke an incident with the Macedonian border policemen at the Deve Bair border crossing today. He posted a video on his Facebook profile showing Macedonian police officers trying to get him back into his vehicle, but he persistently walks towards them without any permission to move in the area of the border crossing. With the use of force by the Macedonian police, he was returned to his vehicle.
Deputy Georgiev and his supporters demanded an explanation from the police why three Bulgarian citizens were detained.
