Croatian police admitted to using firearms last night after a physical altercation with Hajduk fans.

The epilogue of the clash that resembled at the resort "Desinec" on the highway A1 from Zagreb to Karlovac are a dozen injured people, as well as two fans who were wounded by gunshots, confirmed the Zagreb police.


- During the organized attack by the guest fans, the police used all the necessary means to repel the attack and put the misconduct under surveillance. On May 21, at around 21:35 pm, during an organized police escort of about 1.600 Hajduk fans in buses, vans and private cars from the match in Zagreb, they stopped on their own initiative on the A1 highway near the resort "Desinec" and thus blocked everyone. lanes in the direction of Karlovac, and then, despite warnings and police orders, several hundred of them attacked with physical force and objects that inflicted injuries. Police officers used forced assets, including firearms, after which the column was again brought in order to refuse the attack. Two people who took part in the attack on the police officers were found to have been wounded, most likely by firearms. All the injured are out of danger - said the Zagreb police.
