These days, thousands of Croats have contacted the Russian embassy in Zagreb to get the Russian vaccine against covid-19.

Every day, the Russian embassy responds to dozens and dozens of calls from Croatian citizens who are desperately trying to figure out how to get the vaccine. Some of them ask if they can come and be vaccinated at the Russian Embassy, and others if they can travel to Russia to receive the Sputnik V vaccine.

- Of course we would like to help, but we do not vaccinate, nor do we procure vaccines. The Russian Embassy in Croatia may not procure, deliver, distribute or sell vaccines. It is also not possible to go to Russia because at the moment they only vaccinate Russian citizens there, say from the Embassy.

At Croatia's request, Russian Ambassador Andrei Nesterenko said Russia was ready to consider specific details of the Sputnik V delivery.

The creators of SputnikV posted proof on Twitter that they had applied for vaccine registration with the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
