The condition of the beaten Bulgarian in Ohrid is improving. Hristijan Pendikov was taken out of intensive care and transferred to the Department of Oral Surgery, BTA reported citing a statement from the Military Medical Academy (MMA) in Sofia. On Monday, Pendikov was operated on at the Department of Oral Surgery.

The secretary of the Bulgarian cultural club "Tsar Boris the Third" was beaten in the evening hours of January 19 in Ohrid, after which he was admitted for treatment at the General Hospital in Ohrid, from where he was sent the next day on a Bulgarian government plane for treatment in Sofia.

Due to the case of the attack on Pendikov, tensions between Macedonia and Bulgaria have grown and are threatening to reach a new climax on February 4, when Skopje celebrates the 151st anniversary of the birth of the Macedonian revolutionary and great Gotse Delchev.

On the day of the grave in the Church of Saint Spas in Skopje, in addition to the traditional worship of the head of state and other Macedonian politicians, activists and sympathizers of the character of Delchev's work, according to the announcements, there is also a similar mood among Bulgarian politicians and activists, but whether the guests from neighboring Bulgaria will manage to enter Macedonia, the Ministry of the Interior will decide, based on the provisions of the Law on Foreigners, Prime Minister Kovacevski said yesterday.
