The Netherlands will buy howitzers for Ukraine from the Czech Republic

The Netherlands announced an agreement with the Czech Republic for the supply and delivery of advanced mobile artillery systems to Ukraine.

The Dutch Ministry of Defense recently ordered nine wheeled howitzers of the "DITA" type, and they will be sent to reinforce the fighting ranks of Kiev, writes "defense-blog".

The "DITA" mobile howitzer is a state-of-the-art fire support system, capable of hitting targets at distances of tens of kilometers.

The howitzer features a 45 mm L155 gun and has a range of up to 39 km using standard ammunition.

The turret can hold 40 shells, giving it an advantage in operational endurance on the battlefield.

One of the notable features of the DITA is its modular design, which allows for installation on a variety of wheeled chassis.

This flexibility improves adaptability to different operating environments.

The mobile artillery system boasts a system for easy operation by a minimum crew of two, the driver and the commander.

Equipped with a modern control system ensures rapid deployment and withdrawal from firing positions, along with superior accuracy and maneuverability in the field.
