Spokesman for Chief Prosecutor Siika Milevand said that during her conversation with one of the survivors, he said that 8 people were rescued, not 7. At the same time, at the place of tragedy 44 bodies were found. Therefore, investigators are testing the hypothesis whether there is another survivor and where he is.

- I talked to the boy who broke the glass in the back of the bus, he told me that eight passengers were saved. I asked, aren't there seven. He said, no, I counted correctly, eight of us were saved. We counted 44 bodies of dead passengers. It is a mystery where one person is, said the spokesperson of the Bulgarian Prosecutor's Office, Siyka Mileva, at today's press conference of the Bulgarian Chief Prosecutor and his investigators.

It is possible that one of the tourists got on the territory of Bulgaria in one of the other buses of the tourist group and therefore the passengers are one less, said the head of the team of investigators investigating the case Marian Marinov.

According to him, there are testimonies from the gas station where the buses were resting, that the passengers were exchanged in vehicles.

- Survivors say that an intense flame broke out on the right side of the bus immediately after the accident. Attempts were immediately made to open the windows of the vehicle. The front door flew out at the moment of the impact. Despite this, the passengers could not get out because a strong fire was already burning in this part of the bus. Everyone gathered at the middle door, which, however, was stuck by the protective fence on the left lane.

It was agreed yesterday that a team of six investigators from the National Investigation Service and three prosecutors from the Pernik District Prosecutor's Office will work on a pre-investigation procedure for the serious traffic accident on the Struma highway, in which citizens of the Republic of Macedonia were killed. A team of investigators and prosecutors has been formed to investigate the Struma highway tragedy.

Given the international element of the case, prosecutors from the International Division of the Supreme Cassation Prosecutor's Office provided full assistance and coordination in submitting the request for legal aid.
