Hezbollah confirmed that it had fired dozens of rockets at Israel
The Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah, supported by Iran, today claimed responsibility for firing dozens of rockets at a military base in northern Israel, DPA reported.
The Israeli army said that about 40 rockets were fired from Lebanon towards Israel. Some were intercepted by anti-missile defense systems, while others fell in open space. There are no reports of injuries. The attacks caused fires that were extinguished by firefighters.
In addition, a drone with explosives flew over the border from Lebanon to Israel and fell in the area of the city of Metula, and there were no injuries.
The Israeli Air Force, on the other hand, announced that they hit targets in Lebanon last night.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health said that four people, including three children, were injured in last night's Israeli airstrike in the northeastern part of the country.
The Israeli military said airstrikes in the Bekaa Valley and the town of Baalbek targeted Hezbollah weapons depots.
