For now, the only reaction is from the mayor of Ohrid, Kiril Petsakov, who says that the old road does not have the capacity to receive such a large number of vehicles. He urged the authorities to reverse the decision and postpone it after the end of the season.
- For seven years this "highway" has not moved, now at the beginning of the tourist season you close the entrance to Ohrid for 45 days and all traffic is diverted along the old road, a road that does not have the capacity to accommodate such a large number of vehicles and the chaos you will create is inevitable- writes Petsakov on Facebook.
He says that they didn't want to respect it and it didn't matter to anyone that the Municipality of Ohrid was against closing the entrance to Ohrid during this period.
