Greece: A total of 48 cases of monkeypox
In Greece, as of today, a total of 48 cases of monkeypox have been confirmed, nine more than last week, according to the weekly report of the National Public Health Organization (EODI), reports the correspondent of MIA from Athens.
All confirmed cases are men between the ages of 19 and 59, and 33 percent, i.e. 16 of the infected, reported traveling abroad during the incubation period of the disease.
EODI announced that the cases have already recovered or are recovering in a generally good clinical condition.
They add that in Europe, until August 9, 2022, 17 cases of monkeypox have been registered in 897 countries.
The first case in Greece was registered at the beginning of June.
