The city of Skopje announced today a call for subsidies for old crafts and craft activities in extinction in the city of Skopje.

 - In order to encourage the development of traditional crafts through the subsidization of old crafts and craft activities in extinction in the territory of the city of Skopje, through the Program for financing projects for the development of crafts, catering and trade of the City of Skopje for 2022 in the Budget of the City of Skopje funds in the amount of 500.000,00 denars are foreseen. The monetary subsidy amounts to 10.000 denars per applicant - the City of Skopje informs.

The right to participate in the public call has: Artisans who did not receive budget funds from subsidy projects from the City of Skopje in the current year and artisans who are registered in accordance with the Law on Artisans and perform craft activities in decline, who according to the processed data record a decrease in activity in continuity , namely the following trades: quilter, pinmaker, ropemaker, furrier, potter, hatter, blacksmith, tinsmith, potter, button maker, candlestick maker, wreath maker, sieve maker, watchmaker, handicrafts-basket, handicrafts-souvenir making, home handicrafts, filigree making , jewelry and similar products, production of musical instruments and saddlery).

 - The request for subsidizing old crafts and craft activities in extinction to the City of Skopje with complete documentation should be submitted in a sealed envelope to the address: City of Skopje, Sector for Local Economic Development, Blvd. "Ilinden" no. 82, 1000 Skopje (with indication - Application for public call for subsidizing old crafts and craft activities in extinction in the city of Skopje), no later than 10.12.2022. The disbursement of the approved funds will be made successively, according to the order of requests received on a "first come first served" basis. If the planned financial resources are exhausted, the City of Skopje will announce the end of the Public Call through its website. The necessary documentation, fully filled out, must be submitted in original or notarized copies. Untimely and incomplete documentation will not be considered by the Commission - the City of Skopje explains.
