A new call for the inclusion of private bus carriers in public transport in the capital will be announced tomorrow, the City of Skopje confirms for MIA.

Previously, on March 1, the City of Skopje announced that such a call would be announced soon, but then they emphasized that "Sloboda Prevoz" and "Makexpress" would not be able to participate in it due to the obstacles arising from the terminated contract that prohibits participation in a public call if the contract is terminated before the expiration date and due to their fault.

"The public call will contain the conditions for applying, as in the previous two public calls, with the fact that any carrier who plans to honestly and responsibly stick to the contract for public transport will be able to apply," the City of Skopje said in a statement at the time.

The City mentioned that they do not have any debt towards the carriers, and that the contractual provisions only provide conditions for carrying out transportation in the territory of Skopje.

On the other hand, in connection with the debt of JSP "Skopje" to private carriers, the City indicated in a statement that the funds will be paid according to the signed contracts, while the public call for new contracts for public transportation continues.
