The City of Skopje spent more than 10 million euros on tenders last year

The City of Skopje, as well as the 80 municipalities, concluded 3.454 public procurement contracts last year with a total value of about 8 billion denars, or 129 million euros, almost the same as in the previous 2019, the Center for Civil Communications (CCC) announced, citing Public procurement database.

There is an increase in the value of procurement in the City of Skopje and 20 municipalities, while a decrease was recorded in 61 municipalities.

- The biggest value jump compared to the previous year is with the City of Skopje, of 10,3 million euros, the Municipality of Gostivar of 5 million euros and Aerodrom of 2,7 million euros. The biggest declines in the value of procurements are in the Municipality of Lipkovo by 2,8 million euros, Tetovo by 2,4 million euros and Stip and Prilep by about two million euros - announced by the CCC.

The leadership position is still held by the City of Skopje with a total value of tenders of 31 million euros - which is a quarter of the value of procurement of all municipalities together.

CCG emphasizes that half of the total money spent by the municipalities for public procurement was spent by the City of Skopje and seven other municipalities, and only the City of Skopje and the 10 Skopje municipalities together spend as much as 45% of all public procurement money of the municipalities.

- Per capita, this year the absolute leader is Novaci who spends as much as 401 euros per capita for public procurement, as opposed to Suto Orizari who spends only 7 euros per capita. On average, 56 euros are spent per capita - stands in the data.
