Big increase in sales of new passenger cars in Russia
Sales of new passenger cars in Russia increased by 51 percent in October. That is, in October the sale of new passenger cars in Russia increased by one and a half times compared to the same period last year and amounted to 168,5 thousand vehicles, the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced.
At the same time, sales in all categories – passenger and light commercial vehicles, trucks and buses – increased by 47 percent, to 199,5 thousand, the department added.
Overall, over ten months, 1.541.853 new cars were sold in Russia, which is 48 percent more than a year earlier when 1.042.014 units were sold.
The market of new domestically produced cars exceeded 678 thousand units, i.e. the increase is 31 percent
