The boss of "Besa Trans" is gone !?
More than two weeks after a bus crash in Bulgaria that killed 45 people, the State Transport Inspectorate has still failed to enter the Besa Trans company to conduct an emergency inspection. The director of the Inspectorate, Rufat Husseini, says that the reason for that is that the manager of the company "Besa Trans", Bekim Hadziu, is still inaccessible to the law enforcement authorities.
- The company manager is not available. We tried to carry out an extraordinary inspection, but we failed. "The official offices of Besa Trans were closed, no one was here and now we have submitted a notification," Husseini said.
He added that help will be called to the Ministry of Interior if the manager of the company does not respond to the written request.
For the omissions during the crossing of the border of the bus, the Customs Administration continues to perform additional checks. The director of the Customs, Slavica Kutirov, claims that from the previous checks, the bus had all the necessary documents to leave the country. However, she added that customs officers could not verify their authenticity because there was no such centralized register.
Bulgarian investigators are considering several possible causes for the accident - a driver error, a technical malfunction of the bus and poor road signs, but so far no definitive answer has been reached.
