The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) has never missed an opportunity to invite close parties since 1998, when a more serious coalition began, Milo Djukanovic, president of Montenegro and the DPS, said today after the Balkan Integration Forum in Podgorica.

"We came out with an offer to support the minority government due to concerns about the country's foreign policy course. That was not accepted then, and now after 15 months it can be seen that it is a mistake that the majority parties also see. Today we have new expectations and we are more careful in legitimizing the new government. "In contacts with traditional partners, we have at least two solutions that we prefer and those who need to know know them," Djukanovic said, answering a reporter's question whether he had spoken to any of the parliamentary majority or the international community with the minority. government, writes Vijesti.

He added that they should not be convinced that everything is better than the current situation.

"As for the speculation about my position - none of the representatives of the international community ever thought of proposing it to me. "They are decent people, that is not talked about," Djukanovic said.

He said they were completing internal reform in the DPS.

"I have never allowed anyone to interfere in my personal, professional and political plans. I see this as a prolonged attempt to continue to compromise the DPS. "There is no process 15 months later that should confirm the corruption and criminalization of the DPS, and I think that will not happen, and if it does, we will treat it in principle," Djukanovic said.

Explaining the two solutions, he said the first solution was elections.

"For me, the first solution is elections, and the second solution is a political government. If we are talking about a minority government, it will be for a certain period of time, six or nine months, which is not enough to do what needs to be done. "A full-term political government should be formed," Djukanovic said
