The leader of Serbia's opposition Freedom and Justice Party (SSP), Dragan Djilas, has said the opposition will not boycott the April 2022 elections, although there are no conditions for free elections, adding that according to an independent poll, the opposition has a good chance of winning. Belgrade and the presidential elections, said the MIA correspondent from Belgrade.

- We expected help from Europe to restore democracy in Serbia. Unfortunately, the European mediators did not sell all of us who believe in Europe, because they came up with a meaningless paper, which according to the opposition and all the non-governmental organizations that monitor the election process, does not change anything at all. Despite all that, we decided to unite and go to the polls and fight, said Djilas in an interview with Austrian Die Presse, reported SSP.

Regarding Serbia's relations with China and Russia, he said that "it is clear that we are sitting much more on the Chinese side of the chair."

- We should be open for every investor if he pays good salaries and provides good working conditions. But at the moment we have big problems with Chinese companies, especially with the one that will produce car tires in the city of Zrenjanin. In addition to environmental pollution, the problem is that the factory is being built by 500 Vietnamese workers who have almost the status of slaves in central Europe. This is a big topic in Serbia, workers' passports have been confiscated, Djilas said.

He assessed that little investment comes from China and that "these are loans that finance construction projects carried out by Chinese companies by obtaining contracts without a public tender."

- The Chinese are building the road and railway network of Serbia, the metro in Belgrade, the wastewater treatment system for 3,2 billion euros, although if we had won the tender, the EU would have donated 85% of the price! "Our foreign debt is about 30 billion euros, and we have signed agreements with the Chinese export bank for another 15 billion euros," said Gilas.

He added that if Serbia could not repay its debts to the Chinese, "they could claim our electricity, telecommunications, mines, land, airports, as they do in Africa, but also in Montenegro, which had problems with debts to China ”.

- I really do not want to live in a Chinese colony in the middle of Europe. It is interesting that the biggest financial support for Serbia came from the EU. At the same time, polls suggest Serbs see China as a bigger friend than the EU, pointed out Djilas.

Asked how important it was for China to help deliver coronavirus vaccines at the start of the pandemic, he said it was "not a gift".

- We paid China for these vaccines. I'm not a doctor, but there is a lot of information on networks and media around the world that the Chinese vaccine does not work as effectively as Sputnik or Pfizer. Vuќi од responded to all this with a promise that a factory for production of Sinofarm vaccines would be built in Serbia. said Djilas.

Speaking about European integration, Djilas said that there are two problems, one is Serbia and its government, ie Vucic, and the other is the EU, which supports it all the time.

Vuќiќ, remaining on the motto that although there is not enough democracy in Serbia, the country is stable.
