The German President visited Macedonia on November 29

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier is coming on a two-day visit to North Macedonia on November 29, Deutsche Welle reported in Macedonian, citing a statement from his cabinet and the German embassy in Skopje.

Frank-Walter Steinmeier will be the third German federal president to visit Macedonia since its independence so far. Before him, the presidents Roman Herzog and Horst Keller visited the country. As announced by his cabinet and the German embassy in Skopje, Steinmeier is coming to Skopje on November 29, and during the two-day visit he will also visit the wind park in Bogdanci.

After Macedonia, Steinmeier will continue his mini-Balkan tour with a two-day visit to Albania.

The focus of Steinmeier's visit will be the situation in the region, the consequences of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and Germany's support for the EU, the perspectives of both countries.
